Assistant Executive Housekeeper***Manchester***Assistant Executive Housekeeper Required for a large 4 star hotel, part of an International Group providing excellent Food & Beverage facilities, & hosting numerous hospitality awards.
A highly motivated individual. Responsible for Room, Laundry & Public area Attendants. Ensuring the highest quality of cleanliness in the hotel, and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to customers; hence maximising guest satisfaction. Supporting the Executive Housekeeper and deputise in their absence Supervising daily activities of the Housekeeping employees, inspecting guestrooms and public areas Motivating the team to ensure that all high standards of quality are achieved.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a housekeeping atmosphere, in a supervisory capacity. Proven track record in a quality environment and have high customer service and care skills. Candidates should possess a strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead others. Delivers effective briefings with all Housekeeping employees. Assists Executive Housekeeper to chair monthly departmental meetings and is responsible for minute taking. Maintains hotel uniforms inventory, record keeping and servicing. Constantly monitors room inventory activity and takes corrective action as needed. Ensures all team members carry out all job responsibilities to high degree of competence. Conducts inspections of public areas and associated back-of-house areas frequently throughout shift. Maintains record of guest comments and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies. Inspects all VIP and showrooms daily to ensure highest possible quality is maintained. Ensures special service rooms are correctly presented, i.e. Business class, Ensures lost and found procedures are consistently carried out. Creates staffing schedules, and monitors rotas daily in line with occupancy levels and labour cost guidelines. Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately. Trains employees to protect themselves against chemicals, and be aware of harmful chemicals used in department. Helps employees to keep the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.
