Product Test Development Engineer

Test Development Engineer is required to be involved on analogue / power electronics projects from cradle to grave for this major electronics company who design and produce power transistor components that are typically used in industrial, automotive, mobile, and computer applications. The role will be based at their facility that is in the Manchester (Cheshire) North East catchment area.

This person will join a small team and be involved in developing test strategies for power MOSFETs, IGBT, and transistor components. This includes use of their bespoke in-house ATE test equipment, test script generation for the ATE, and datasheet creation -as the Test Development Engineer will take ownership for test data. Candidates need to have good general electronics knowledge and experience, and especially some familiarity with analogue, power, and transistor devices (preferably MOSFET).

* The ideal background is someone who has experience with a semiconductor company which includes some exposure to the wafer side of the business.

* Candidates will also be considered from PCB and board level electronics.

* It is expected that you will be qualified to HND or degree level in Electronics or similar and have professional experience in a similar type of position.

* Graduates maybe considered if an application can demonstrate that you have studied power electronics (covering MOSFET, IGBT and transistor technology) and some relevant professional working history is evident (e.g. Sandwich course or industrial placements).
