A very highly regarded and well respected law firm with offices based in the heart of Manchester City Centre are looking to recruit an experienced Mortgage Arrears Paralegal to join their ever expanding department.

Main responsibilities will be to contact debtors by either written correspondence or using the telephone in an attempt to resolve the matter amicably by arranging satisfactory repayment arrangements alternatively if the matter is beyond repair you would be required to issue legal proceedings with a view to taking possession of the mortgaged property via the relevant county court. The role it’s self would involve monitoring court orders, taking enforcement action, instructing bailiffs and on occasion attending county court hearings
The ideal candidate will be experienced working in a similar role, be capable of handling own caseload from initial instruction and be confident in negotiating payment and settlement arrangements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work to strict deadlines. Good IT skills are essential including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and case management systems.
