Lodger wanted for double room in Victorian terrace

I am looking for a lodger to rent my spare room in beautiful Victorian end terrace. The house has been lovingly decorated and furnished. It has a Jacuzzi spa-bath and separate shower in the bathroom, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and cooker in the kitchen; small Zen-style garden with fish pond, trees, table and chairs, and outside lighting.

The room for rent contains:
Double bed, bedside table, wardrobe with shelves, under-bed storage, lamps, desk and chair. Bills and council tax are included.

Levenshulme has fantastic amenities. There is a newsagents, veg shop and great Pizza takeaway opposite the house, and a swimming baths and Library next door. On Levenshulme’s main high street (5 mins walk away) there is a Tesco, numerous veg shops, take aways and cafes, some nice Indian and Nepalese restaurants, post office, chemists etc. There are several bus stops along the main road- the 192 bus, which takes you into town, comes every 10mins. There is also a train station just off the main road- the train to Piccadilly takes 10 minutes, there are 4 per hour and six per hour during peak times.

I have recently finished a degree in Social Anthropology. I am currently working part time in Manchester centre whilst looking for full time employment in an area that is related to my degree subject. I have a dog, Dora, who is chilled and friendly. She barks when someone knocks on the door to alert me, but never at any other time. I keep the house clean and tidy and am looking for someone who is cool about pitching in with household chores and cleaning up after themselves.

I would like to live with someone relaxed and friendly who will respect my home and enjoy the space. I would like someone who works (no DSS), has something of a social life, and can enjoy a bottle of wine and a meal from time to time. I have lived with lots of different people in the last 10 years, and have a very diverse group of friends. I am open-minded about who I live with so long as we get on and have mutual respect.
