Project Manager
We require a Project Manager with experience of managing web and print based projects. Strong understanding of the development life cycle and an interest in internet technologies is important.
Knowledge of formal project management methodologies would be beneficial, but excellent personal organisation, planning and understanding of project risk is essential.
A clear focus to ensure that all own projects are completed within agreed time-scales and budgets is essential, as is contributing to the production and sales process and maintaining excellent relationships with staff members.
Main Duties
REQUIREMENTS CAPTURE
Capture client requirements through meetings with clients and research possible solutions; harnessing knowledge from members of the design, programming and search teams
Prepare detailed client requirements in documented form to a high standard
Project Management
Adopting a structured but pragmatic approach to managing project budgets and time-scales to ensure that both are met
Planning in detail to identify early if issues are likely to negatively affect budget or time-scale, then communicating effectively to internal management
Liaison with design, programming and search teams to ensure that project parameters are understood and achievable
Managing the project development life cycle for the project conforms to Fluid Creativities group standard development process to ensure successful project initiation, development, deployment and support
To provide support to clients throughout the project, to include
Creation and sign off of site maps, project plans and specifications
Accurate record keeping of client meetings and project progression
Content management system training
Plan and oversee maintenance and support schedules
Production
Liaison with all teams to ensure that the studio is managed effectively and able to deliver projects on time
To co-ordinate client feedback and project reviews, to evaluate what lessons can be learned form a project
Monitor invoicing for given projects
Sales
Identify additional sales leads and up sell opportunities within existing clients (during project development)
Support the sales team through leading client discussions regarding technical features; identifying the scope and potential cost implications of proposed projects and presenting solutions where needed.
Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience
Good people management skills
Ability to see the groups long term objectives as well as short term goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisation, administrative and planning skills
Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Project
Good understanding of the software development process
