Hi! I am the president of Lancaster University's Netball Club for the coming 08-09 season and we believe as a club we have reached our potential as a ‘peer to peer’ coaching programme. We are very well established with the university, and have just been nominated for ‘club of the year’ by the current Athletic Union President. We currently have three teams, all at different standards, from the 1st team (county standard) down to the third team (school or college players). We play in two competitions through out the year, BUSA, played every Wednesday on a weekly basis, (British University Sports Association -

and NUNL on a Saturday (Northern Universities Netball League). We also have two major one day competitions to play in, Lancashire Cup (Lancaster University vs UCLAN (Preston)) and Roses (Lancaster vs York – the biggest inter varsity event in the country).



The AU will hopefully subsidise the payment of a coach, but if not, we will pay as a club. We did train three times a week, two outdoor sessions and one indoor. The outdoor sessions are Monday 5:30 – 7pm and Thursday 6 – 7:30pm, but the indoor session is yet to be confirmed. The problem I have is that I have limited information to give at this moment, but we would want the coach to attend our indoor training session as we play most of our matches indoors, so feel this would be most beneficial to the club.



Coach Required for Lancaster University’s Club starting October 2008, coaching once a week (day and time to be arranged) for approximately 22weeks, with the possibility of continuing in future years.
