Manchester Central Book Group Needs You

Hi there,

I'd like to invite you, the reader, to join us at our montly book group meetings. We are a small group that generally meets somewhere either in the City Center or close by (Oxford Road, Withington, etc.)

We read a variety of books, from books like 'I am a Cat' (about Japan in the Meiji era) to 'Waste' (a book about the amount of waste generated in the food industry, from producer to consumer, and the affect it has on the world around us) with lots in between (like 'Toms Midnight Garden', 'The Periodic Table', 'Love on the Dole').

We take it in turns to choose which book we will read, and accompany each meeting with a meal. I wouldn't describe us as a hardcore book group, we partly just meet up for fun, and a chance to try out different restaraunts and partly to give us a reason to make time to do some reading each month.

Our next meeting is on the 18th November, at 7 O'clock - we are meeting in 'The Shakespeare' in the City Center, where we will have a quick drink while we wait for everyone to turn up, we will then go to dinner somewhere, we haven't decided yet, but will obvious pick somewhere everyone is happy with! This months book is, (fittingly) 'Shakespeare' by 'Bill Bryson' which is available in paperback.

If you would like to join us please get in contact, so we know to expect you. It is an ideal oppurtunity for people knew to the area to meet new people and check out some restarants/bars/pubs in Manchester, and also great for anyone looking to try something a bit different!

Look forward to hearing from you,

Steve
