As an Industrial & Commercial Gas Engineer your main priorities will be to service and maintain the plant within many of the communal housing schemes. As well as planned preventative maintenance you will also work re-actively where necessary. Experience in district heating schemes is preferable. The successful candidate should be well organised and able to plan effective PPM programmes.

After approximately 2-3 months of clients product training in Salford, Manchester you will be expected to be able to service, repair and maintain the complete range of metering equipment used by the client to enable the company to maintain its commitments in all areas of the business in which you are employed and give a first class service to all their clients.

The applicant should be:
- Of smart appearance and of a pleasing disposition to be able to work with the general public within their own properties.
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills as they will have contact on a daily basis with both the general public and client representatives.
- In possession of a full clean driving licence.
- Able to at all times adhere to the standards as set down by The Health & Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations.
- Able to demonstrate a good sound basic knowledge of electrical circuits and be able to safely carry out basic diagnostic checks and repairs to motorised valves, pumps and thermostats.
- Able to demonstrate a good sound basic knowledge of plumbing and be able to safely carry out basic checks, repair leaks and replace heating motorised valves, pumps, heat meters and associated equipment.
