= £89,000

During that time you have saved up a deposit of £6,000 (7% approx)

Any improvements you make to the property you get the benefit.

If the value of the property has increased you also get the benefit.

Now let’s have a look if you pay a bigger deposit and £50 more per month.

-150 x 60 = £9,000 (extra you have paid)

At the end of year five you would owe £100,000 - (£7,000 + £9,000)
= £84,000

During that time you have saved up a deposit of £9,000 (11% approx)
