For Sale:

Five beautiful pieces of Native American Art from British Columbia Canada, site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games! This is your chance to purchase authentic Native American Art from local British Columbian artists, before the Olympic Games push prices through the roof!

I have:

3 cedar letter openers, carved by Salish and Cree artists. The first, depicting a hummingbird is painted, while the other two depicting a warrior and a raven are partially stained. The knife work on all three pieces is stunning down the the slightest detail. All three pieces range from a bout 26 to 30 cm long.

The next item is a large carving of a bear done on a single piece of stained and painted cedar. It is approximately 69 cm tall and 14 cm wide and is beautifully sanded and finished. Once again this is a piece done by a Salish artist from Squamish B.C. and has a leather hook on its backside so it can be hung on a wall.

The final item is by far the most stunning of all the pieces. It is a mask carved by an artist of the Haida Nation, depicting a frog perched on the head of a raven. The mask is meant to symbolize a traditional Haida story of why there are no frogs on the Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands B.C.) and is carved out of a SINGLE PIECE OF SOLID MAHOGANY! It is lightly stained, and meticulously finished on both the front and back, and is approximately 38 cm tall, 28 cm wide, and 16 cm deep. Other masks carved by this particular artist have sold for thousands all over the world and can be found in museums in North America.
