Manchester work wanted
do you need a cheap painter? or handyman for less than £10 per hour?
Attention - Property makeover - 800 quid!
Hi There!
Do you need any painting, carpeting, flooring, joinery, tiling or general handyman work done very cheap? Then read on. We recently had a budget of £800 to makeover a large 2 bedroom apartment, which meant we had to seek out cheap labour and materials.
We have some old and new contacts in Salford who can work to a very tight budgets and timescales. They work hard, to a good standard and they charge a lot less than a tradesman from the local paper or yellow pages.
For example, Handyman Rob charges around £10 for about an hours solid graft. He does not charge for tea breaks, collecting stuff from DIY stores or coming to give you a quote.
To give you an example of Alan the Painter, he did a faultless job on the 2 bed apartment. The before photos we have clearly show the poor condition of the décor. The ceilings were stained badly with nicotine and the walls had a variety of patterned paper some that had been painted over in different colours by the previous occupier.
We got 30 litres of emulsion, 2 litres of gloss and masking tape for £100 quid and it cost £200 for Alan the painter to emulsion all the ceilings and walls and gloss the doors, skirting and woodwork. He did an excellent job that I could have paid over £500 quid for if I had a bigger budget.
Gerry the carpet man gave us a contact to buy the carpet from and we chose a medium quality twist in a lovely two tone grey colour. Gerry charged £100 to fit it which meant total budget on carpet was £500.
That’s how we spent the £800 budget. These guys never advertise to keep costs down. We wanted to give something back by recommending them to others.
If you would like a quick chat about a job you may need doing please call me on 07834227749.
I would be happy to introduce you to the workmen and oversee their work on your behalf – As I am female this may especially appeal to other females who don’t like dealing with builders or workmen alone. Or it may just suit someone who needs the work organising and overseeing.
NB:--Painter is cheaper if the rooms for painting are empty
