South Manchester. 23 hours per week (over 5 days - Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat Sun, may include some optional extra hours) PAYE £7 per hr supporting a disabled person at home - the correct title for this job is Personal Assistant, but is often called in outside provision, 'care assistant'. Three of the work days are split into two shifts.

It's mainly a domestic job which assists me as a disabled person to retain my independence and preserves my health, the job also includes a small amount of personal care and some assistance with parenting tasks.

The applicant must have good skills with children and will suit best someone who likes the idea of working closely with a family which includes a young child probably on the autistic spectrum, who has a conduct disorder and can be agressive at times.

You will be fully police checked and traceable references will be required.

Must be a queer friendly.

Must be a driver with car.

Fitness and patience necessary as this is a manual job.

Experience not required but relevant domestic skills are - if you hate cleaning this is not a good job for you.

Supervision, instruction, training and wages come direct from me.

You will need a good memory, level headedness and some common sense.

The job will involve: cleaning, washing up, helping me out of bed and assisting with dressing sometimes, washing and hanging/putting away laundry, binging food and medications, taking children to and from school, shopping and other relevant domestic duties,
