Community Resettlement Worker  (Rochdale area) £21,933 - £25,143 plus benefits
Working for one of the UK’s largest charities supporting young homeless people who assist young people who are homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged this role is working with the offender support service manager.  The main responsibility of the post holder will be to provide advice, support and advocacy to offenders returning to the Rochdale area, ensuring they have suitable accommodation on release.  The post holder will provide ongoing support to individual service users and liaise with a range of housing, training, education and employment providers while working closely with the probation and prison services to identify issues which could lead to re-offending. 
Essential for this role: 
Experience working with offenders
Experience of providing housing and /or welfare benefits advice
Experience of delivering a resettlement service
Experience of working and leasing with both the statutory and voluntary sectors
Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits legislation
An ability to interview and assess individuals regarding their housing and support needs
An ability to manage a large case load
