Associate Director Energy Systems
The role would involve providing strategic advice to clients on:
- Energy Efficiency
- Carbon reporting / footprinting
- Renewable Energy Options
- Energy Management
- Manage team providing wide range of Energy services
- Energy Survey & report
- Energy systems Feasibility studies
- Energy Performance surveys
- Energy projects delivery
- Assessment of Renewable Energy systems
- Advicing on Legislations such as CRC
This role contains a high level of calculation and evaluation to reduce the risk of reaching poorly considered decisions. Estimating time costs, working with metrics and numbers, dealing with budgets, forecasts, prices and charges are all are important facets of this job; therefore the competent use of statistical packages for numeric calculations will be required. It should be noted that ability in handling complex mathematics and numbers are deemed to be necessary, especially for the larger type of projects. It is therefore essential that a data rational set of skills is evident.
The ability to undertake complete financial analysis of a project using standard accounting procedures will be necessary together with an appreciation of the optimum methods of funding these projects.
This role will also need a competent understanding of the centrally driven initiatives that are currently in place, together with an appreciation of the future direction of the low carbon strategy.
Decision making, weighing up the facts, the possibilities and evaluating the options are key result areas. There is a mixture of deciding quickly under time pressure, as well as being more considered after consultation and debate with other people. On the one hand, the role demands establishing a consensus, although on the other there will be issues where a decision has to be made alone. A bright mind, which is both rational and objective, is needed for this opportunity.
