Assistant Restaurant Manager **Manchester** 17,000**Assistant Restaurant Manager Large gastro pub, well renowned for it's vibrant atmosphere, & standards of service, is looking to appoint an Assistant Manager. The restaurant holds 100 covers and is complimented with a vast additional outside terrace. All the food is prepared fresh, catering for a mix of young, singles & couples, families & groups in a very affluent market.
Excellent organizational skills are required for this demanding role. You should be driven, highly self-motivated, innovative & love the 'Buzz' of a busy environment. To assist in the recruitment and selection of hourly paid staff. To assist with the induction and on-the-job training of staff. To effectively manage the reservation diary ensuring covers are maximized. To assist in the co-ordination of Christmas events i.e. handling enquiries and taking deposits. To assist in the implementation of stock control procedures. To ensure that all stock is secure at all times. To regularly review the operation of the restaurant and be pro-active in putting forward ideas for improvement for the maximization of revenue e.g. upselling, new offers etc. To ensure daily, that the EPOS system is in good working order, correctly programmed and able to provide the required reports. To build and strengthen relationships with customers, enhancing the reputation of the Company.

The position has come about due to an internal promotion, straight shifts, 17-18K, tips and a quarterly bonus
