Our client, an expanding privately owned care home provider, is looking to expand its nursing and management team and is currently recruiting into the position of Manager for a Nursing and Residential Home near Stockport. Although based in one Home, if management supervision is required in any of the other Homes, the successful applicant will provide that cover too.
The successful candidate will be joining this company at an exciting time of expansion offering the very best of care in newly built or updated properties. Their homes offer a variety of care including Nursing, Residential and other specialist areas.
Our client is looking for someone with very strong managment skills and relevant home management experience. NB: The successful applicant does not need to be a registered nurse - management experience is more important to our client. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years experience of working in a residential or nursing home that caters for elderly service users, have the Registered Managers Award or willing to work towards, a sound knowledge of National Care Standards and Health and Safety Legislation, a good understanding of local authority contractual requirements.
Must have demonstrated leadership skills and be a leader that puts care at the forefront of their management style
The Manager’s Role
You will manage the day-to-day operation of the nursing home ensuring we offer the very best care whilst meeting CQC, contractual and budgetary demands.
Lead and motivate whilst developing the team and market the home to ensure a high occupancy level.
You will have a pivotal role in developing new business opportunities and driving the home forward whilst exploring new areas to ensure the business remains successful and viable.
The Person
Working with an established staff team you will need to be flexible, with excellent people management and influencing skills.
You will balance good business acumen whilst having care at the forefront of all decisions. Due to the nature of the role, clear verbal communication skills are essential. The post will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure under the Criminal Records Bureau.
