One of the largest Private sector housing  associations are looking to add staff to their alarm response team. They provide a range of services for around 40 other landlords, both public and private. They  take great pride in working with each customer organisation to develop services tailored to the needs of their tenants. They currently have over 20,000 alarm connections and are committed to maintaining quality of service as the business grows.

 

Your role will involve working as part of a team, taking inbound alarm calls from tenants, predominantly the elderly and disabled. The nature of these calls can vary widely; some may be of an urgent nature if the tenant is in difficulty or distress, and some may be false alarms or test calls from engineers. Therefore, applicants must have the ability to stay calm under pressure, build rapport over the phone and deal with emergencies in a responsible manner. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role.

 

This is a part time position of around 19 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible to work any day of the week; Monday - Sunday, and must be willing to work the following hours 10pm - 6am mainly weekend work

- Excellent telephone manner and ability to speak clearly

- Recent and solid customer service and telephony experience

- A background in care (either at home or work)

- Must be computer literate and have good admin skills

- Must be flexible to work shifts, early mornings and late nights
